All sales of Products are completed at our taproom and pickup shall be done here as well. Our address is as follows:

  • Orders are available for pickup during business hours after 30 minutes of being placed
  • Please bring your email confirmation and your ID when you come to pick up an order
  • Proxies are allowed. If you are using a proxy, please designate a proxy in the order comments or email us at [email protected].
  • Orders designated for Pick-Up will be held in the taproom for 5 days after the order is placed. If the Product(s) is not picked up within 5 days after the order is placed, we will return the items back into stock and refund your order less a 25% restocking fee. This fee covers any merchant fees that we have received as well as management time to update inventory.

Orders can be picked up during these hours:

  • MONDAY: 12pm – 6pm
  • TUESDAY: 12pm – 7pm
  • WEDNESDAY – THURSDAY: 12pm – 7pm
  • FRIDAY – SATURDAY: 12pm – 7pm
  • SUNDAY : 2pm – 6pm

*** Currently, we are only delivering to Shallotte, Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach addresses.

There are 4 delivery time slots open Monday – Friday. Orders must be placed before 3:30pm for same day delivery. Orders placed after 3:30pm, can be schedule on the next delivery day. Sorry, no weekend deliveries available.

Proxies:

Proxies will be allowed only if (1) the proxy is named in the order notes and (2) the proxy provides state or federal identification matching the proxy listed in the order notes at pick up. We reserve the right to not allow proxies for certain can sales in which we will communicate in social media posts.

Cancellations:

Our current policy is to not provide refunds. However, we may be able to offer substitutions on a case-by-case basis. This is done because inventory is managed closely and it is not fair to other purchasers to be denied an opportunity to purchase Products that are in limited quantity. Additionally, we are charged for all merchant fees at the time of purchase and cannot get these back. In the event of extenuating circumstances, our wonderful staff may elect to issue a refund to you for 90% of the purchase price, with the remaining fees collected as compensation for merchant fees and restocking. Shipping Conditions:

Shipping Timeline: Items ordered via the online shop will be packed and shipped within 3 business days. Some orders may take a little longer during peak seasons.

Beer Shipping: We are currently NOT shipping beer. Local delivery only at this time.

Order Changes: We are unable to change the products in your order once processed. The only things we can change are your shipping address, your phone number, and your proxy information.

Tracking: You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed. You will also receive another email with your order details and tracking info. If you do not receive these within 3 days, please reach out to [email protected].

Shipping Address Limitations: We cannot ship alcohol to PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, Mail Boxes, or internationally.

Converting to Pickup: If you would like to convert your shipping purchase to pick-up, we will be happy to do so. Your pickup can be available at our Ocean Isle Beach location.

Returned Packages: If your package of Products is returned to us, we may re-ship it to you for an additional shipping charge equal to the actual shipping cost. Any order that is refused or returned after three attempts to deliver will not be refunded. Shipping and packaging charges will not be refunded. In addition, the buyer will be responsible for any additional fees incurred to have the product returned to us.

Title and Responsibility: The title to Products is passed to you at the time of the sale and you remain responsible for shipping costs, including insurance. Makai Brewing Company makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import beverages containing alcohol. You authorize Makai Brewing Company to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.

Importing Products: If you require us to ship your purchased Products to you in your home state, you agree that you have read these terms and understand that when you import these Products into your state that it may require you to have a license or registration to do so and to pay applicable state taxes in your state. Makai Brewing Company assumes no obligation and bears no responsibility whatsoever for applying for or obtaining any such permits or licenses. We strongly suggest that you investigate your state laws and determine the manner in which alcoholic beverages may lawfully be brought back home. You shall be responsible for all applicable excise, use and sales taxes due to their state related to the purchase of any taxable Products.

Pricing and Inventory: Price and availability are subject to change without notice. Once your payment is confirmed, we will make every effort to ship your order within 3 business days. Some orders may take a little longer during peak seasons. If you place an order and an item is out of stock we will contact you and ask you if you would like a refund or if you would like to wait until we receive the product. We retain the right to refuse any order.
